A funk site, you say? You mean, like, uhhh… FUNKEDGE? A site entirely dedicated to ‘tha fonk’ and learning to play it on piano? That is my absolute DREAM! Have I died and gone to heaven or did I really read that? What is its ETA, Willie?September 7, 2015 at 8:02 am #834
Great news! It would be interesting, in my opinion, including some lessons about clavinet and its groove comping tech.September 14, 2015 at 3:55 pm #854

Hey All…here is a look into my plans:
Yes the Funk site is slated to be released in October with a new Rock site on its heels…maybe by December.
The idea is that PianoWithWillie will be the main “hub” which caters to students of all levels, hence the beginner and advanced lessons. I know many of you want some more advanced stuff…it’s coming!
Our satellite, or “micro” sites (FUNK, ROCK, BLUES, GOSPEL) will roll out with hours of content for the Intermediate on up level player.
If you’re a member of PWW, you get a discount on the microsite. If you’re only interested in the microsite, you can order just that site.
A few key points about these new microsites:
- They will be a “buy once, own for life” type of site. No recurring fees.
- You’ll be able to download the material…including video after 30 days.
- The focus will ONLY be on that particular style
Of course we’re still working out the kinks so this may change. However, I’d love any feedback you might have!September 16, 2015 at 6:08 pm #865
I do not know what to think about this plan. I like the rock, blues, funk, new age lessons on this site (of which there has been very little lately). I am a legacy gold member with full access to all lessons but as I understand it, I will have no access to these sites unless I “buy” in. I will have to think about this and see how it pans out.September 16, 2015 at 6:21 pm #866
Hey Steve, I understand your concerns. The issue that we are having is that we can only release so many lessons on PWW at once, otherwise a) we would need to raise rates (which I don’t want to do) and b) students get overwhelmed and lose focus (I’ve gotten enough emails about this to have some real data on it)
I always try to take care of my legacy students, so there will be a considerable savings for legacy students or those who are members of any of our other sites.
Please keep the dialogue open and feel free to voice your thoughts here.September 19, 2015 at 4:45 am #867
Intermediate+ Rock site? I cannot wait. Rock seems lately to have lost some love to Jazz here, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it, micro or not.September 19, 2015 at 10:05 am #868
You can signup on the early bird access list by going to the Rock Piano Lessons website.October 6, 2015 at 6:28 pm #980
